Everything to do with thyroid is known both to be affected by other medicines, foods, supplements, etc. And to affect other medicines, etc.
This is a list of medicines, supplements, etc., which at least sometimes need to be considered further.
For many, there is an indication where you can seek further information.
Anyone prescribing any of these should be made aware if you have any thyroid issues or take any thyroid medicines.
Think of it as a glorified reminder list.
Warnings:
- This list is inevitably incomplete.
- The inclusion of something does not mean that there is a serious problem. It is intended simply to alert to the possibility of an interaction which should be considered appropriately.
Actions could be as simple as not taking at the same time or just being aware. - The groups or classes of medicines are poorly defined. This has become ever more difficult with the repurposing of existing medicines to new uses. They are used to provide a hint of other medicines which might have similar effects, or could be alternatives.
- Medicines are named according to their recommended International Non-Proprietary Names (rINN).

Many medicines, supplements and foods interact with thyroid hormones in various ways.
This document is intended to be a regularly updated list of recognised interactions from good sources.
As it is a new document, feedback would be very much appreciated - anything from typos, through incorrect information.
