This post is a small number of links to information about statins and their prescribing which might be helpful to those with thyroid issues.
Whether or not to take statins has long been an issue. It is clearly important that statins are not started while hypothyroid, while over-range on liver function tests, with an inappropriate statin, or at too high a dose.
The Specialist Pharmacy Service is part of NHS England and provides advice to many other parts of the NHS.
Using statins in liver impairment
