This blog page was created shortly after Aristo levothyroxine became available in the UK.
Few patients had taken it, fewer still had expressed their opinions.
Five years later and there is far more experience. It is also available ONLY as Vencamil (a branded version) which is identical but easier for doctors to prescribe.
Aristo have also launched additional dosages (25, 50 and 75).
Aristo is a relatively recent (March 2020) addition to the levothyroxine products available in the UK.
As always, experiences and opinions vary. What I've done is compile a list of posts on HealthUnlocked which mention Aristo. Some are positive; some are negative. Some simply mention Aristo in passing. This is NOT a definitive, complete list. I just add more posts when I notice them.
Note: Aristo have launched a branded version (Venacamil) which is identical to the generic version. That should make it easier for a GP to prescribe. They have also be launched new dosages.
